What to Wear in Barcelona in June

June is officially the first month of summer with warm sunny days and refreshingly cool evenings.

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, the weather’s been a bit odd this year but June’s been great. Temperatures have been in the low twenties most days and generally sunny, not too hot and humid but definitely beach weather – perfect!

It’s rained a total of four days this month, twice were heavy rain and the other two were just showers. Luckily I’ve not been caught out in the rain this month, but I’d suggest carrying an umbrella rather than waterproofs.

What to Wear in Barcelona in June

It’s summer time so T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops are the order of the day. It cools down slightly in the evenings so it’s worth bringing a light jacket for evenings and early mornings, but don’t be surprised if you end up leaving it in your hotel room. I also suggest you pack long trousers to wear in the evenings, not because you can’t wear shorts but most men wear long trousers when they go out. Contrary to what you may read elsewhere, plenty of Barcelona locals wear shorts during the day.
